Manchester United at FC Barcelona
|Date & Time||Tuesday April 16, 2019, 3:00 PM (EDT)|
FC Barcelona -227 / Manchester United +600 / Draw +350
Manchester United travel to Camp Nou to play the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against FC Barcelona. As it currently stands, FC Barcelona lead the tie 1-0.
Manchester United won their previous match in the Premier League as they beat West Ham 2-1 at home. It was not the best performance by the Red Devils as the team had only 42% of the ball and had fewer shots while playing at home. Both of Manchester United’s goals were scored via the penalty spot with Paul Pogba taking the kick on both occasions. This will be a very tough match for Manchester United since they are playing away from home and are losing by 1 goal prior to kick-off.
On the other side of the coin, FC Barcelona only managed a 0-0 draw during their La Liga match over the weekend. It was not the best performance by FC Barcelona although it is important to note that the likes of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Gerrard Pique were not playing. FC Barcelona have been the dominant side in Spain this season and they have almost confirmed the La Liga title. Barcelona look very confident and they will be very tough to beat at home.
In the first leg, FC Barcelona dominated the ball as the Spanish outfit had 67% possession away from home. FC Barcelona also completed more passes and had a better pass accuracy. It is important to note that Manchester United had a very poor match as the Red Devils had no shots on goal in the entire match.
As far as this match is concerned, I am going to pick FC Barcelona to win. Barcelona are the stronger side and the team looks very confident as they lead the tie 1-0. Manchester United must chase the match and I see that being too difficult since the Red Devils are away from home.
