Barcelona is hosting Sevilla in the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Spanish Copa del Rey.

Barcelona is in great form as they are winning, creating a lot of chances and scoring a lot of goals and their defense has improved. Overall, Barcelona is playing the best soccer in Spain. Messi and Suarez are in solid form at the moment and will lead Barcelona in this game. Rafinha and Dembele won’t play in this game while Umtiti is listed as questionable. Barcelona has played against Girona this past weekend and routinely won that match 2-0. I’m expecting Barcelona to start this match with their strongest lineup and to attack Sevilla from the start.

After a shaky start of the season Sevilla is finally showing their true potential. Last week Sevilla beat Barcelona in first leg of quarterfinals of Copa del Rey and this past weekend they destroyed Levante 5-0. Tuesday Sevilla confirmed that they brought Marko Rog on loan from Napoli who is going to be strong addition to the team. Gonalons, Nolito, and El Haddadi are injured while Navas and Gnagnon are listed as questionable.

Last week’s match between these two teams was very competitive and this time I’m expecting and even better match. Barcelona has to attack if they want a chance to defend their title and that will leave them open to Sevilla’s counter attacks.

Being from Croatia I was raised with soccer all around me and I loved to watch and play soccer ever since i was little kid, especially after Croatia won third place in 1998 World Cup in France. I watch and follow soccer on a daily basis and to get the oppurtunity to write about it is amazing.
