Barcelona is welcoming Valladolid in round 24 of Spanish LaLiga.

Barcelona is a top team in Spain and  in Europe with some of the best players and an attractive game style. Barcelona is undefeated in their last 5 games but has 3 draws in a row and because of that Real Madrid is catching up to them in the standings. Barcelona is playing enjoyable soccer with a lot of possession time and plenty of passes and that allows them to create a lot of chances and take a lot of shots on goal. Messi is the best player in the world and a leader of Barcelona team with 21 goals and 10 assists in 21 games, incredible stats. Barcelona’s home record is 8 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. Rafinha, Umtiti, Cillessen and Arthur are injured and will not play this game. Barcelona is playing a Champions League match next week and because of that I’m expecting that coach will rest some players.

Valladolid are fighting for their lives in LaLiga this season and are holding 15th place in the standings and with only 3 points away from relegation zone. Valladolid has only 1 win in the last 10 games and are not playing good soccer on either ends of the field. Valladolid’s away record is 3 wins, 5 draws and 4 losses and have managed to score only 9 goals. Unal and Plano are Valladolid’s top goal scorers with 3 goals each. Luismi, Hervias and Plano are injured and will not be playing while Alcaraz is listed and questionable. Valladolid just doesn’t have enough quality to compete with most of the teams in LaLiga this season and if they want to keep their LaLiga status some things will need to change as soon as possible.

Valladolid has won only 4 matches against Barcelona dating back to 1993 and even though Barcelona might rest some players, I’m not giving Valladolid much of a chance because Barcelona has a deeper bench and is in need of this win to get back on track.

Pick:
Barcelona and over 3.5 goals combined

Being from Croatia I was raised with soccer all around me and I loved to watch and play soccer ever since i was little kid, especially after Croatia won third place in 1998 World Cup in France. I watch and follow soccer on a daily basis and to get the oppurtunity to write about it is amazing.
