Bayern is hosting Borussia Dortmund in a derby match of round 28 of German Bundesliga.
Bayern is the best team in Germany and have lost only one game out of their last 11 games. Bayern is in 2ndplace in standings with 19 wins, 4 draws, 4 losses and 61 points and are 2 points behind Borussia Dortmund which could change after this game. In their last game against Freiburg, Bayern was much better team with 71% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 90% of correct passes and 7 corner kicks but game ended in a 1-1 draw. Lewandowski is Bayern’s top goal scorer with 19 goals while Kimmich added 10 assists. Tolisso, Robben and Davies are injured and will not play in this game. Bayern is great team with players like Muller, Hummels, Ribery and Rodriguez and young starts like Gnarby, Goretzka and Kimmich and their game style with lots of short passes and plays through their wingers is really nice to watch. Bayern is top offensive team in Germany with 69 scored goals and are second best defensive team in Bundesliga with 28 conceded goals. Bayern Munich have had their share of problems this season and were playing bad soccer before Christmas break and were huge 12 points behind the top spot in Bundesliga but coach Kovac has done really god job in getting his players in better form and once again Bayern is playing some of the best soccer with a lot of scored goals.
Borussia Dortmund is a team that was close to the top of Bundesliga for years and this season they finally showed that Borussia is capable of getting all the way to the top. Brussia Dortmond are playing impressive soccer with 66 scored goals and 30 conceded goals in 27 games. In their last game against Wolfsburg, Borussia was better team with 53% of ball possession, 5 shots on goal and 84% of correct passes and have won the game 2-0 with 2 goals in last 4 minutes. Alcacer is Borussia’s top goal scorer with 16 goals followed by Reus who scored 15 goals. Philipp, Pulisic, Diallo and Hakimi are injured and will not be playing. Borussia has a great and well-balanced team with experienced players like Reus, Gotze, Witsel and Alcacer and young superstars like Pulisic who is leaving to Chelsea in the summer and Sancho who is wanted by every top club in Europe. Borussia is playing great, fast and enjoyable soccer with lots of chances and shots on goal and coach Favre is doing excellent job with his young defense. Borussia is on a roll with 3 wins in Bundesliga and have scored 8 goals during that period and will be eager to beat Bayern in this match and stay on the top of the table.
Games between these two teams are always fun to watch and a lot of goals is usually scored especially when playing in Munich so instead of giving the edge to either of the teams I’m going to pick something on goals.
