Formula 1 Midseason Bets

USA TODAY Sports

The Azerbaijan Gran Prix is always an exciting event and after what happened this weekend, I expect that it will end up being one of the most exciting races of the year. This race had action, it has mayhem and it definitely had some great motorsports which is something that everybody wants to see.

The biggest talking point was what happened between Championship leader Sebastian Vettel and his closest rival, Lewis Hamilton. The two drivers ended up in a fiery clash that saw the two cars collide and resulted in Sebastian Vettel and his Ferrari getting a 10 second penalty. While some there is many discussions on whose fault it was and the reasons behind all this drama but the biggest winner ended up being Daniel Riccardo. The former Red Bull driver drove past the drama to get his first win of the season and that was significant for his. This leads to us making a value bet. Red Bull seem to be establishing themselves as the third best team in Formula 1 and betting on that is a good bet in my opinion.

Sebastian Vettel somehow managed to increase his lead over Lewis Hamilton in a race where he had a disaster. With that in mind, somehow the Ferrari driver is still getting a decent price to win the  F1 drivers Championship so this is a good bet in my opinion. Lewis Hamilton has had his best opportunities to take over the lead from Vettel but the brit has managed to miss these opportunities constantly so as a result I am going to pick Vettel to win the title as the best driver this season.

Pick:
Vettel
