France is welcoming Albania in round 5 of Group H of Euro Cup Qualifications.
France is the force to reckon with and the current World Champion from last years World Cup in Russia. After 4 played matches France is at the top of the standings in this group with 9 points, 12 scored goals and only 3 conceded goals. In their last match against Andorra, France was dominant as expected with 86% of ball possession, 10 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks, 91% of correct passes and 4 scored goals by Mbappe, Ben Yedder, Thauvin, and Zouma. France has some of the best players like Griezman, Mbappe, Pogba, Kante, Varane and Pavard and great coach and former World Cup winner Didier Deschamps who was voted for the best coach in the world after last years World Cup. France is playing patient soccer and always tries to control the midfield where they are the strongest, and from there Pogba and Kante are distributing the balls to strikers or their wingers. France is ranked as 3rd team in FIFA standings an is among the top favorites to win next years Euro Cup. Griezman was France's best player in first 4 games with 2 goals and 3 assists and is expected to start in this match alongside Mbappe at the front. Kante is injured and will miss this game but Deschamps has a lot of options and depth on the bench to replace him.
Albania is a solid team who is constantly improving and investing more and more in a young players development. With 6 points in first 4 matches, Albania is 4th in the standings and still has good chances to get qualified for Euro Cup. In their last game against Moldova, Albania was impressive with 58% of ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks, and 84% of correct passes. With goals from Cikalleshi and Ramadani Albania has won this game 2-0. Elseid Hysaj is probably the best and most notable player in this Albanian squad who is playing for Napoli in Italian Serie A. Cikalleshi was the best player for Albania with an average score of 7.15. Earlier this year, Albanian soccer association has decided to take a sharp turn and have hired Edoardo Reja, Italian expert who was a coach some of the biggest clubs in Italy like Napoli and Lazio. Since his arrival, Albania has played only 2 games from which they lost 1 and won 1, but Albania is slowly building their identity and their game style which is gonna be typical Italian soccer, hard and rough with a strong defense. France is an obvious favorite to win this group while Turkey, Iceland, and Albania will be competing for that second spot that will get them qualified for the Euro Cup. Does Albania have enough quality and experience to compete with Turkey, absolutely not, but with Iceland for sure. It won't be a disaster if Albania doesn't qualify because this is a young team with a lot of potential and with patience and hard work Albania will only become better.
France is the better team here without any doubt and could use a win here to secure first place in the group. You can never be sure how a team will play after a 3 months break, but France is playing at home and because of that I expect them to attack from the start and to take care of this match as early as possible.
