Following a layoff for domestic cup action, Ligue 1 returns this weekend with some exciting matchups. The bookies are offering a great price for a Marseille home win on Saturday, while Brest vs. Amiens and Monaco vs. Strasbourg are both fixtures that are likely to produce goals.

Let’s check out the best bets for this weekend’s Ligue 1 fixtures.

Marseille vs. Angers – 1/25/20

Marseille come into this game on an eleven-game unbeaten run in all competitions. The south coast side have won eight of their last nine league games and currently sit second in the Ligue 1 standings. By contrast, Angers have only managed to win one of their previous seven league games – a run that includes a 2-0 defeat to Marseille at the beginning of December. All the signs are pointing towards a Marseille win on Saturday, and when you also consider their home advantage, odds of 1.67 seem too good to miss.

Pick: Marseille to Win – 1.67

Brest vs. Amiens – 1/25/20

Brest have been extremely inconsistent this season and their record of W6-D7-L7 in Ligue 1 this season underlines their unpredictability. Brest set fourteenth in the table – seven points and four places above Amiens. Luka Elsner’s side have failed to win any of their last eight league games and are now firmly involved in a relegation battle. Brest have scored and conceded in each of their previous three games, while Amiens haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last eight league games. It’s difficult to pick a winner for this matchup, but I’m confident that both teams will get on the scoresheet.

Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.80

Monaco vs. Strasbourg – 1/25/20

Despite Robert Moreno’s side sitting ninth in the table, only PSG have scored more goals than Monaco this season. However, just two teams in the division have conceded more goals. Strasbourg have scored less and conceded less than Monaco this season, but find themselves two points behind Monaco in twelfth. Monaco come into this game on the back of a double-header with PSG with the two games producing a total of 11 goals. Both Monaco and Strasbourg have been very inconsistent in 2019/20, so I think we’ll see plenty of goals in this matchup.

Pick: Over 3.5 Goals – 2.75

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
