Fulham vs Liverpool - 3/17/19 - English Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Detroit Free Press-USA TODAY Sports

In the English Premier League, Liverpool will face Fulham for a chance to move to the top of the ladder. Manchester City are not playing this weekend due to the FA Cup which means that the Reds could move ahead of the Sky Blues on points which should make the title race much more competitive.

Liverpool had a big win midweek in the Champions League as the team beat Bayern Munich away from home. It was a high-pressure match where Liverpool outperformed a very accomplished team. During the win, Sadio Mane was the most impressive player as the winger scored twice. The overall attacking effort by Liverpool was exceptional as they scored 3 away goals. The defence was also solid as they contained a very talented Bayern Munich attack to only 1 goal. Considering the team's recent form, Liverpool will be confident of winning this match with some ease.

On the other side of the coin, Fulham are in a very poor situation as it seems like relegation is a formality. Fulham are 19th on the ladder and 13 points behind the team in 17th so it is starting to look near impossible for the Cottagers. Returning to Craven Cottage should give Fulham hope for this match but considering the fact they are in poor form and playing Liverpool, not many will be giving them much chance of winning.

Liverpool and Fulham met earlier in the season at Anfield. It was a very simple win for Liverpool on that occasion as they won 2-0 after Salah and Shaqiri both scored.

Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Liverpool to win. Liverpool are one of the top teams in England while Fulham about to face relegation. Liverpool have the better players and the stronger record and I see them leaving West London with all 3 points.

Pick:
Liverpool
