Monday night football from Serie A will see a cracking encounter between Genoa and Torino will see both teams looking for a win to move within two points of European football. Both teams have been very strong in recent weeks, Genoa win three in a row at home and look like a solid team every time they play in the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris. Genoa look to former Milan strikers Niang and Borriello as top scorers and leading lights for the Genoan's. Genoa struggled a little last time out against Roma but that seems an exception rather than the rule. With just one loss in their last ten home games Genoa look a strong bet here on Monday night.
But they face a Torino team that have been really solid in the league especially away from home where they have lost only two of their last fourteen away games in all competitions. With former Italian striker Quagliarella up top and young south american Martinez alongside him, torino have a viable offence. Torino's strength of late has been their solid defence though and this is a team that have proven in recent weeks that they can play against the best in Serie A beating Juventus 2-1 in the Turin derby.
Really tough one to call here, I am going to take both teams to score though as both offence's have been in strong form of late and this game strikes me as one that will be more open. Not many italian games end up being of the free flowing goal heavy kind but this weekend seen Italian football be very goal heavy with every team in the league scoring this weekend. I think the trend continues tonight.
