This weekend in the Bundesliga, I’m backing RB Leipzig to make it four wins in a row when they travel to Paderborn. In-form Union Berlin look set to hold Schalke on Friday, while Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen aren’t likely to produce many goals on Sunday. Let’s check out this week’s best bets from the German top-flight.

Schalke 04 vs. Union Berlin – 11/29/19

Schalke are unbeaten in four games heading into this weekend. Two wins and two draws have seen them climb to fifth in the table, level with Freiburg on 22 points. Union Berlin have also been on a fantastic run recently. The club from the capital have won four of their last five and have moved up to eleventh. Union are still the rank outsiders for this game, while a Schalke win is at 1.62. However, given both team’s form, the draw at 3.75 seems like a great bet.

Pick: The Draw – 3.75

Paderborn vs. RB Leipzig – 11/30/19

Paderborn raced to a shock 3-0 lead against Dortmund in their last game, but a second-half collapse led to them eventually drawing at the Westfalenstadion. This was a great result for the bottom-place side, but they are still rooted to the foot of the table. RB Leipzig are currently second – one point behind Monchengladbach. Leipzig are the joint-top scorers in the division this season, netting 33 times in 13 games. Considering that these teams find themselves at opposite ends of the table, I’m backing Leipzig to win both halves on Saturday.

Pick: RB Leipzig to Win Half Time/Full Time – 1.91

Wolfsburg vs. Werder Bremen – 12/1/19

Wolfsburg are seventh in the Bundesliga standings having lost just two of their opening 12 games this term. Werder are down in fourteenth after picking up two wins so far. I think this is set to be a pretty low scoring affair. Only FC Koln have scored fewer goals than Wolfsburg in the division this season. Having said that, Wolfsburg boast the best defensive record in Germany’s top-flight. Werder are not likely to trouble Wolfsburg’s goal too much, so under 3.5 goals makes sense.

Pick: Under 3.5 Goals – 1.44

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
