German Bundesliga: Best Bets – Round 21 – Odds, Predictions, and Picks
Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 11:41 AM (Germany)
Can Erling Haaland continue his outstanding goalscoring record when Dortmund travel to Leverkusen on Saturday? The odds for him to add to his tally are looking very attractive. Meanwhile, I’m backing Schalke to beat Paderborn and Frankfurt vs. Augsburg to produce a few goals.
Let’s take a closer look at this week’s best bets for the German top flight.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Augsburg – 2/7/20
Frankfurt and Augsburg kick off this weekend’s Bundesliga action with a tasty mid-table battle. Augsburg are one point and one place ahead of Frankfurt in the table but neither side has been able to climb up the standings due to their poor defensive records. Only the bottom four teams have conceded more goals than Augsburg in the division this season, while Frankfurt have also been poor at the back. This is a tough game to call with both sides evenly matched. For that reason, both teams to score is the best value bet for this matchup.
Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.60
Schalke 04 vs. Paderborn – 2/8/20
Schalke have been much improved this season and come into this game sitting sixth. However, due to the congested nature of the top end of the Bundesliga table, Schalke are only eight points behind league leaders Bayern Munich. By contrast, Paderborn are rooted to the bottom of the table with just four wins from 20 games this term. The underdogs have picked up a couple impressive results recently but Schalke should win this game. The home win is at 1.44 but I don’t think this will be a high-scoring encounter, so add the under 3.5 goals into the equation to boost your odds.
Pick: Schalke 04 to Win and Under 3.5 Goals – 2.38
Bayer Leverkusen vs. Borussia Dortmund – 2/8/20
Erling Haaland has made an eye-catching start to his Dortmund career. After moving from Red Bull Salzburg in the January transfer window, the teenage sensation has netted seven goals in three league games and also scored against Werder Bremen in the DFB-Pokal. His record of eight goals in four appearances for Dortmund cannot be ignored, so you’d be foolish to bet against him adding to his tally this weekend. Additionally, Bayer have conceded in three of their previous four games in all competitions.
Pick: Erling Haaland to Score Anytime – 1.73
