German Bundesliga: Best Bets – Round 4 – Odds, Predictions, and Picks

Top-flight action returns to Germany following the international break.

The tie of the round sees Leipzig host Bayern while Mainz and Hertha go head-to-head in a bottom of the table clash.

Here are the Bundesliga’s best bets for Round 4.

Fortuna Dusseldorf vs. VfL Wolfsburg – 9/13/19

Wolfsburg have started the season in fine form and are unbeaten with two wins and a draw so far. On the other hand, Fortuna have picked up three points from a possible nine and currently sit twelfth in the Bundesliga table. Wolfsburg have a goal difference of +4 while Fortuna have conceded at a rate of two goals per game this season, and this doesn’t bode well for the hosts heading into Round 4. Last season Wolfsburg registered 3-0 and 5-2 victories over Fortuna and this sort of score line looks set to continue when the two teams meet on Friday.

Pick: VfL Wolfsburg to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 3.04

1. FSV Mainz 05 vs. Hertha BSC - 9/14/19

Mainz are the only team that have failed to pick up a single point so far this season and they find themselves rock bottom of the Bundesliga. Hertha are just one place above Mainz and have only managed to pick up one point from their first three matches. The teams have conceded a combined total of 20 goals at the start of the campaign but I’m predicting a low scoring match on Saturday. Neither side will want slip any further away from the rest of the teams in the division, so both teams will aim to keep things tight at the back. A 1-1 draw or a narrow 2-1 victory either way looks likely.

Pick: Both Teams to Score and Under 3.5 Goals – 2.95

RB Leipzig vs. Bayern Munich - 9/14/19

The standout clash of the weekend comes as Leipzig host Bayern in Saturday’s late kick-off. It’s first vs. second with both sides unbeaten so far this season. Leipzig boast a 100% record with three wins from three matches while Bayern have seven points following two wins and a draw. It’s set to be a cagey affair as both teams will be looking to avoid defeat, but I’ve got a good feeling about Leipzig this season. They have made a fantastic start to life under the guidance of new head coach Julian Nagelsmann, while Bayern have been unconvincing. Despite Bayern coming into the match as favorites with odds of 1.8, Leipzig’s price is double that and I can the home side snatching all three points.

Pick: RB Leipzig to Win – 3.60
