Germany vs Chile 22 June 2017: Confederation Cup Preview and Predictions

Germany started their Confederations Cup campaign with a win over Australia in their opening game. This was not the most convincing performance seen by the Germans as their defence looked like a problem but nevertheless they got the three points and that was something. This time around they take on Chile in what will be a great match between two of the top teams in the tournament.

Chile had a good win in their first game against Cameroon and it looks like this team is full of quality. This time around it will be a much harder test for the side but the likes of Vidal and Vargas are playing really good football and that should give the team a bit of a boost. Alexis Sanchez was not playing in the opening game but he should be back for this game against Germany and that should give the side a massive boost since Sanchez is a player of the highest quality.

On the other hand, Germany need to sure up their defence or they could see themselves lose to the South American side. The likes of Mustafi need to be more sure and Leno needs to also have a better game than he did against Australia. On the other side of the pitch they look quite dangerous with PSG’s Julian Draxler playing some of his best football.

I think Chile want this win more than Germany and I think that will make all the deference in this situation. We are getting a good price on Chile winning this tournament and as a result that is going to be my bet for this game.
