Canada have made it into the quarterfinals of the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. At this stage of the tournament, Canada will play against Haiti.
Haiti finished top of Group B with 9 points. Haiti have won all of their 3 games. In their previous match, Haiti defeated Costa Rica 2-1.
It was a determined performance by Haiti as they only had 29% of the ball against Costa Rica. Haiti conceded an early goal to Costa Rica but the team showed great character to equalize and score the winner. Djimy Alexis was the star performer for Haiti as he scored the winning goal. It was not a pretty victory for Haiti but the team showed its ability to win.
It has been a good tournament for Haiti as they have already scored 6 goals while only conceding twice. The win against Costa Rica was a big confidence boost for Haiti. This will be another tough match for Haiti since Canada also have a very strong team.

It was a dominant performance by Canada as they controlled 64% of the possession and had 14 shots on target. The Canadian team also completed 614 passes at an accuracy of 88%. Jonathon David and Lucas Cavallini were both outstanding for Canada as both players scored 3 goals each. Junior Hoilett also scored for Canada.
It has been a great attacking tournament for Canada as they have already scored 12 goals. Outside of Mexico, Canada are the top attacking team in the tournament.
This match between Canada and Haiti is set to be played at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Haiti have had an outstanding tournament and while they showed their ability by defeating Costa Rica. That being said, I see Canada winning this match. Canada have a significantly stronger squad and their attacking form is outstanding. Haiti have shown determination but I don’t see them having enough defensive skill to contain Canada. Canada were dominant against Cuba and I see them being too strong for Haiti.
