Belgium are the number 2 ranked team in the world they have had a tough time thus far in Euro 2016 though. Beaten comprehensively by Italy the Belgians then produced a world class performance against Ireland and were just about adequate against Sweden. With a star studded squad it's tough to see why Belgium are struggling. Eden Hazard and Kevin de bruyne are probably the best two midfielders in the competition. Together they are very difficult to stop and Belgium's attack has been led successfully by Everton's Lukaku. This is a big test for Belgium and their manager Marc Wilmots will be feeling the pressure. Belgium have failed to deliver silverware at the World Cup two years ago but they did lose to Argentina in extra time. Missing Vincent Kompany is a big loss for Belgium in the center of their defence and they have looked susceptible to the counter attack as Italy showed.
Hungary are without doubt the surprise package of these championships winning a group with Portugal and being involved in the best game of the tournament a 3-3 end to end thriller with the aforementioned Portugese. There is a lot being made of the fact that Portugal underperformed but Hungary were excellent in all three group games. This is a team defined by their hard work, no superstars here but hard work is evident at every turn. Gera the captain is 37 but turned back the years against Portugal scoring an amazing goal. Dzsukzsak scored twice in the second half and Szalai did a good job as a target man when on the field.
This is literally a David v Goliath situation but I have to say I respect what Hungary have done and think they will give Belgium a cracking game. I am going to take both teams to score here. This one could be a cracking encounter.
