Inter is hosting Juventus in round 34 of Italian Serie A.
Inter is playing in a solid form and hasn’t lost any of their last 6 games and has scored 11 goals during that period. Inter is holding the 3rd place in the standings with 61 points and are only 5 points in front of Milan and Atalanta who are their main competitors for Champions League spot. In their last game against Roma, Inter was a better team with 72% ball possession, 5 shots on goal, 7 corner kicks and 89% of correct passes but weren’t able to win and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Inter’s top goals scorer is Icardi with 10 goals, followed by Perisic with 7 goals. The only injured player in Inter’s squad is Vrsaljko. Inter has been playing hot on cold this season and I still think that coach Spalletti is not the man for this team because Inter is not consistent on either offense or defense and for a team that wants to compete for the top of Serie A that is unacceptable. Inter will most likely play Champions League next season but players like Icardi, Perisic and Brozovic might not be there because some of the top team in Europe are very interested in buying them form Inter.
Juventus is the best team in Italy and will once again win Serie A. In their last game against Fiorentina, Juventus was playing without some of their biggest stars like Mandzukic, Dybala, Chiellini and were still better team with 60% ball possession, 4 shots on goal, 10 corner kicks, and 90% of correct passes and have won that game 2-1. Ronaldo is Juventus’ top goal scorer with 19 goals and 7 assists, followed by Mandzukic with 8 goals and 6 assists. Khedira, Perin, Mandzukic, Caceres, and Dybala are all injured and will not be playing in this match. Juventus recently got knocked out of Champions League by Ajax and that was a huge blow for this team which was expected to reach the finals and because of that, management announced that there will be some changes at the end of the season and coach Allegri will most likely get fired. Juventus is at the top of Serie A with 20 points ahead of Napoli and with only 5 games left in the season, Napoli has no shot in catching up so Juventus is expected to rest their stars and give the opportunity to some younger players.
When Inter and Juventus meet in Milano there are usually a lot of goals scored and last game that was played in Milano, Inter has lost 2-3 but because Inter is still in a fight for that Champions League spot and Juventus is expected to rest some of their best players I’m going to take a stab at Inter.
