Iran and Portugal will play each other in the final round of games for the group stage of the 2018 World Cup. Both teams still have the chance of making the round of 16 and as a result, I am expecting a great game of football.

Iran have been far more impressive than most people expected. The Asian side played very well against Spain and almost managed to get a point. While that game ended as a lost, Iran would take tons of confidence from that performance. Having already got three points on the board, Iran will make it to the round of 16 if they win. This should be a massive boost for the players.

On the other side of the coin, Portugal only need one point to make it to the round of 16. While things have been going well for Portugal, the team is not playing very well. Ronaldo has bailed the team out twice and he might be able to do it in most game, but it will be interesting to see what happens on the occasion when Ronaldo does not perform. This is a game in which Portugal should win since they are the better side.

All in all, I am going to predict that Portugal wins this game. Ronaldo has been way too strong and he might be good enough to win this game on his own. Unfortunately, we are not getting the right price to wager on Portugal to win and as a result, it is a bet which I would avoid. The best bet is the under 2.5 goals. Neither side has been scoring many goals and as a result, this should be a safe wager.

Pick:
Under 2.5 goals
