Spain were made to share the points in their opening game thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo. This time around they will be determined to get all three points since it is the only way in which they can top the group. The Spanish national team takes on Iran in the second game.

Iran won their opening game against Morocco which places the Asian side at the top of the group. Getting a result against Spain will make qualification a real possibility and I am sure the Iranian side is very determined by that prospect. The feature that impressed most about Iran was their solid defense and if they can do that against Spain, they will put up a real fight. There is enough talent in this side to compete against Spain but whether it is enough to get a result in this game is the big question.

On the other side of the pitch, Spain will look to have a big win. Diego Costa looked in amazing form while the midfielders were also productive. In addition to this, the defenders were working together so things are looking good for the Spanish side. It will be important for Spain that they score early and win big since Portugal have the same points as them and goal difference will likely determine who tops the groups.

All in all, I see Spain winning this game. While Iran were impressive against Morocco, they are not good enough to beat Spain. Unfortunately, we are not getting a good enough price to bet on Spain to win so the outright result market is something I would avoid. The best bet is the under 2.5 goals. Iran won’t let Spain thrash them so a 1-0 or 2-0 win for Spain is the result which I see. Either way the under 2.5 goals wins.

Under 2.5 goals
