Serie A returned with a bang last weekend following the winter break. Juventus, Inter and Atalanta all claimed big victories, while Lazio continued their winning streak. Four of the league’s top five sides face each other this weekend, so we’re set for another thrilling round of Italian top-flight action.
Let’s check out the best Serie A bets for this week’s fixtures.
Inter Milan vs. Atalanta – 1/11/20
After climbing to the top of the table before Christmas, Inter picked up where they left off by beating Napoli 3-1 in their previous game. Romelu Lukaku continued his red-hot goalscoring streak with a brace, while fellow forward Lautaro Martinez also got on the scoresheet. Atalanta also claimed a big win last time out, beating Parma 5-0. Still, Inter remain 11 points ahead of Atalanta in the standings and Antonio Conte’s side also boast the best defensive record in the division. Atalanta will put up a fight, so this is why the bookies are offering us such a high price for the home win.
Pick: Inter Milan to Win – 2.00
Fiorentina vs. SPAL – 1/12/20
Fiorentina and SPAL have both endured disappointing 2019/20 campaigns so far. Fiorentina currently sit just four points clear of the relegation zone in fifteenth, while SPAL are rock bottom after only managing to win three of their 18 league games this term. SPAL have also scored the fewest goals (12) in Italy’s top-flight this season. Fiorentina have enough quality to win this match, but they have been far from their best throughout the first half of the season. For that reason, I think we’ll see a low-scoring home win on Sunday.
Pick: Fiorentina to Win and Under 3.5 Goals – 2.06
Roma vs. Juventus – 1/12/20
Roma have lost just three of their 18 league games this season, enabling the club from the capital to climb to fourth in the table. However, Juventus have only lost one league game in 2019/20 and sit 10 points ahead of Roma – level on 45 points with first-place Inter. Juventus kicked off the new year with a thumping 4-0 win over Cagliari, while Roma returned to action with defeat to Torino. It’s difficult to pick a winner for this matchup, especially considering Roma’s home advantage. Both sides possess plenty of attacking firepower, so I think both teams to score is the best bet here.
Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.60
