High-flying Lazio host struggling SPAL on Sunday and the club from the capital will be looking to extend their impressive unbeaten run. Roma look set to claim an away win at Sassuolo, while Milan vs. Verona isn’t likely to produce many goals.

Let’s get stuck into this week’s best bets for the Italian top-flight.

Sassuolo vs. Roma – 2/1/20

Sassuolo ended a run of three straight defeats by beating Torino earlier in the month but could only manage a goalless draw with Sampdoria last time out. Their inconsistency has left them down in fifteenth. At the other end of the table, Roma sit fourth having only lost four of their 21 league games this term. Roma may not be in the best form right now, but they’re miles better than Sassuolo. The bookies have probably made the Roma win so high due to their away status in this matchup, so I suggest taking advantage of this.

Pick: Roma to Win – 1.83

Lazio vs. SPAL – 2/2/20

Lazio’s remarkable winning streak came to an end as they drew with rivals Roma in their previous game. Still, Simone Inzaghi’s side are unbeaten in their last 15 league games and remain firmly in the title race – two points behind second-place Inter and five behind league leaders Juventus (with a game in hand). On the other hand, SPAL are in the relegation zone after winning just four times this season. They are also the division’s lowest scoring team. Given Lazio’s excellent form and SPAL’s dismal goalscoring record, I’m backing Lazio to win while keeping a clean sheet.

Pick: Lazio to Win and Keep a Clean Sheet – 1.90

AC Milan vs. Hellas Verona – 2/2/20

Milan host Verona on Sunday as both sides look to keep pace with the European places. Milan are currently eighth with 31 points, while Verona are one place below on 29 points. Both teams have struggled to score goals this season, but they also both have decent defensive records. Only five teams have scored fewer goals than Milan in 2019/20, while just the top three teams have conceded fewer goals than Verona. Taking everything into consideration, under 2.5 goals makes sense here. I think this will be a low-scoring game.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.85
