The number three seed in the Women’s French Open draw will be in action tomorrow as 24 year old Slovakian, Cepelova, takes on the might of the Romanian superstar in Simona Halep. Halep will want this to be an easy win so she can be well rested for more testing matches in later rounds while Cepelova will want to make an impact and take out one of the favorites for the tournament.
Cepelova has made more of a name for herself in the doubles world but she has had a top ranking of 50th in the singles which means that she can play. She has won 9 titles overall with 5 of them being in singles and while this is not bad, this is a player that has not managed to do well in the big tennis tournaments. This will not be an easy match for her as she is very much out of her league here.
Simona Halep is a superstar and many pundits around the world are tipping her to win the entire tournament. This is a big statement for a player who still has a lot to prove and I think she will cruise through in this game. Halep will have her real test later on in the tournament but in this round she will be way too strong for her opponent. I think she will win this game with ease and also in straight sets.
As far as betting is concerned, we are getting not the best price on betting on Halep and betting on her to win in straight sets is getting a slightly better price and as a result that is the best bet on this game. I don’t see a situation where this game goes to the third set so I think this should be a quite a safe bet to make.
