Juventus Turin vs. AS Roma - 1/22/20 Coppa Italia Pick, Odds & Prediction
AS Roma at Juventus Turin

Juventus and Roma go head-to-head at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday for their Coppa Italia quarter-final clash. The two teams faced each other less than two weeks ago, with Juventus claiming a 2-1 victory at Stadio Olimpico.
However, the scoreline flattered Juventus in their previous meeting. Merih Demiral and Cristiano Ronaldo put the Turin outfit ahead inside 10 minutes. But Roma dominated the majority of the game, and they were extremely unlucky to only have Diego Perotti’s penalty to show for their efforts.
Remarkably, Roma registered 22 shots to Juventus’ five. Paulo Fonseca’s side also enjoyed the lion’s share of the possessions last time out, while using their home advantage to control large spells of the game.
Juventus come into this game on the back of a 2-1 win over Parma thanks to a Ronaldo brace. Maurizio Sarri’s men have won their last five league games and have only suffered one defeat in Serie A in 2019/20.
Roma beat Genoa 3-1 in their previous game with goals from Cengiz Under, Edin Dzeko and an own goal from Davide Biraschi. Roma remain firmly in the hunt for a top-four finish after losing just four of their 20 league games this season.
With both sides under the guidance of managers in their first season with the club, both bosses will be eager to win some silverware this term. You often see managers fielding weakened teams in cup competitions, but I think both sides will be full strength on Wednesday.
With that being said, it’s difficult to pick a winner for this matchup. Juventus come into the tie as favorites at 1.44. But Roma have shown that they’re more than capable of competing with the country’s top teams this season, so odds of 5.50 for a Roma win are tempting.
I believe the best value for this game can be found by backing both teams to score. Four of Roma’s last five league outings have seen both sides find the back of the net, while seven of Juventus’ last eight league games have seen both teams score.
Both Juventus and Roma have an abundance of attacking talent, but neither side has been too solid at the back this season. For that reason, both teams to score makes sense here and it also seems like the best value bet.
Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.75
