Juventus is welcoming Milan in a derby match of round 31 of Italian Serie A.
Juventus is the best team in Italy and it has been for years and will once again win Serie A this season. Juventus has 18 points to spare at the top of Serie A and with 62 scored goals and only 19 conceded goals Juventus is the best offensive and defensive team in Italy and one of the best in Europe. In their last game against Cagliari, Juventus was by far better team with 56% ball possession, 6 shots on goal and 82% of correct passes and have won this game 0-2. Ronaldo is Juventus’ top goal scorer and best player with 19 scored goals followed by Madzukic with 8 goals but both of them are injured and will not play alongside Cuadrado, Costa, Barzagli, Khedira, Spinazzola, Dybala and Perin who are also injured. Juventus is playing Champions League quarterfinals against Ajax next week and coach Allegri will most certainly rest some players in this game and give a chance to some young players like Kean and Bentacur to prove themselves. Juventus is playing very well-balanced soccer with steady defense and dominating midfield but because of all the injuries I’m not expecting the same level of game from Juventus in this match.
Milan is fighting for Champions League spot and are holding 4thplace at the moment with 52 points but Atalanta is breathing on their necks with only 1 point less and are in much better form then them. Milan is in a bit of a slump right now and haven’t won any of their last 3 games. In their last game against Udinese, Milan was dominant throughout the game with 57% ball possession, 6 shots on goal, 83% of correct passes and 7 corner kicks but game ended in 1-1 draw and their star goalkeeper and one of the best in the world Gianluigi Donnarumma got injured in 10thminute and had to leave the game and that is what cost Milan a victory in this game. Latest reports show that Donnarumma will be ready to play in this game and will once again stand between the posts. Piatek is Milan’s top goal scorer with 7 goals while Suso added 6 assists. Milan is playing very well and are creating a decent amount of chances and coach Gattuso is doing good job with the team but if Milan wants to stay in the fight for Champions League, they will need to get out of this slump as soon as possible. Bonnaventura and Conti are only two injured players so coach Gattuso will have all of his best players ready and at his disposal. Milan’s away record is 5 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses which is not great and this will be really hard game for Milan.
Milan haven’t won any of their last 7 games against Juventus and last time match ended in a draw was back in 2012. Because Juventus is playing Champions League next week, and because of all the injuries Juventus has, I’m going to take a stab at Milan because they need this win more then Juventus to stay in a fight for Champions League spot.
