Juventus vs Torino 16 December: Coppa Italia Preview and Predictions

The city of Turin will be divided this midweek as Juventus take on their cross town rivals, Torino. This game has a ton of history and back in the day it was one of the most watch football matches in the world. Today Torino are not the side they once were but they have managed to make it this far in the competition so that is something going for them.

Torino go into this match after not playing on the weekend. This will have been a disappointment to this team since they are in fine form at the moment and they would have liked to keep it going. That being said the men are going to be rested and that will be an advantage going into this match. Torino are a talented side and if they play well they have the capability to beat the reigning champions. This team will look to their big players such as Maxi Lopez and if they can play well this is going to be a good game.

Juventus are the better side here and they will be determined to win here considering it is a derby match and there is a lot at stake since the loser will be eliminated. Juventus are playing well at the moment, especially in Italy, and this will give them a lot of confidence. The last time these two teams met was only 6 weeks back where Juventus won by 1 goal and if that match was an indication of what is to come, we will be in for a treat.

Juventus are definitely the better side here but I think that it is going to be a really close game and I don’t think the reigning champions will win with ease. The handicap is set at 1 goal and I think that is right since both sides have a lot of potential. I think the best way to go here is to take Torino +1 since it is much more likely the game ends in a draw than Juventus win by 2 or more goals. That being said this is a very risky play and I am not a fan of it. I might avoid betting on this game but if I had to put money on it I would take the Asian lines and take Juventus -0.5 which is paying not well but it’s the best bet I can see.

Juventus -0.5
