Liverpool -278 / FC Porto +700 / Draw +375
In the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, Liverpool will host FC Porto in the opening leg of the tie at Anfield.
FC Porto won their previous match as they Boavista at home. It was a solid performance by FC Porto as the team controlled 68% of the ball and had 7 shots on target. FC Porto look in good form as the team is currently 2nd in their domestic league and are unbeaten in their last 6 matches. That being said, this will be a tough match for FC Porto since travelling away from home is a tough task in the Champions League.
On the other side of the coin, Liverpool look in supreme form as they enter this clash. The Reds played against Southampton in their last match which they won 3-1 away from home. During the win, the Reds had over 60% of the ball while creating 17 shooting chances. Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson and Mo Salah all scored for Liverpool during the win. Winning at home is an essential task in this leg for Liverpool and they should be confident in their ability since they are in good form and have a tremendous record in the Champions League. Liverpool made the final of the Champions League last season and the squad is mostly unchanged so the players will be accustomed to the pressures that this match will present.
While FC Porto have been playing very well since their last Champions League match but I don’t think they are good enough to win this match. Liverpool are a supreme outfit and their attacking trio of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino looks too strong for Porto, especially at Anfield. FC Porto may challenge Liverpool in the leg in Portugal but I see Liverpool winning this leg with ease.
