Manchester City are going from title contenders to a team that is just hanging on for 4th spot. This team has fallen from the graces as far as the Premier League is concerned but nevertheless they will be feeling confident as they head into this game since they are playing bottom placed Aston Villa.
Manchester City won the Capital One Cup last weekend but that win didn’t lead to anything in the Premier League since they only ended up losing to the team they beat in the final, Liverpool. This would have been a major disappointment for the Sky Blues and they will be keen to have a big win here. I have said this many times before but Manchester City have some of the best player in the world at the moment and it is really hard to pick them to lose.
Aston Villa are practically a lost cause and I don’t think there is any possible way that they can avoid relegation this season. They are playing poor football and this match will not help their cause since they are up against one of the best teams in the league and they are away from home. I expect them to get thrashed here.
So as you can see, I expect Manchester City to win here. That being said, I don’t think there is any value in betting on them since the price we are getting is way too short. I think that if we want to bet on this match then the way to go is to look at the goal line. We are getting a good price for the over 2.5 bet and I think City alone can score 3 goals against a poor Aston Villa side so this is a pretty safe and profitable bet in my opinion.
