Manchester City vs Sunderland 13 August 2016: EPL Preview and Predictions

Manchester City will take on Sunderland in a game that will allow Pep to begin his stint at the Manchester club. This is an important season for City because they are once again spending a lot of money and a good performance both in the Premier League and in the Champions League will be needed.

Sunderland just did enough last season to stay up but this time around they will be without their manager, ‘Big Sam’, and that will take a lot out of this side since he was the soul of the club. That being said, this team has a lot of support and the fan base at the Stadium of Lights is massive so I think they should still have some fight in them. That being said, they are going to be away from home and outclassed in this game so I think anything but a loss will be a massive surprise.

Manchester City will be at home and with the additions of Nollito and John Stones, they are starting to look like a very strong squad. Pep as the new manager is also an upgrade meaning things are looking good if you are a Manchester City fan. This should be an easy win for this team and I think they will do it in style since Pep is known for an attacking brand of football which might just see Sunderland getting a hammering.

As far as betting is concerned, I think the best betting option is found if we look at the Asian handicaps. The bookmakers have their main line here set at -2.0 which mean Manchester City need to win by 2 goals for us to break even. I think this happens every time so Manchester City -2.0 is going to be my bet for this game.

Manchester City -2.0
