The opening game of the Premier League weekend comes from the Ethiad Stadium as Manchester City look to put their Champions League exit behind them when they host Westbromwich Albion. Since Tony Pulis took over West Brom they have been in good form and very tough to beat although they do come into this game having lost two of their last three (both away to Aston Villa) but managed a good win over Stoke last weekend. With Berahino and Ideye forming a productive partnership up top West Brom have had a goal scoring threat that hasnt been there most of the season. The baggies will no doubt go to the Ethiad and look to put ten men behind the ball and frustrate city, given their solid defence in recent weeks it is understandable as well.
Manchester City are coming into this game having lost four of their last five games in all competitions, two of those losses came against Barcelona which in some degree was to be expected but the other two away to Burnley and Liverpool were shocks. With City only having the league left to focus on Sergio Ageuro, Dzekom Toure and co will be anxious to close the gap on Chelsea at the top of the league. Chelsea have been stuttering of late but Manchester City have not taken advantage. City will be looking for a big performance in the Ethiad tomorrow and I think they will get it.
Under pressure City boss Manuel Pelligrini has nothing to lose now, it's anticipated that Pelligrini will lose his job at the end of the season his only chance is probably to keep their league title which is going to be very difficult. With that said focusing on this game here I think Manchester City come away with a big win and I am taking them on the handicap as City fans will get a big performance from their team tomorrow.
