Manchester City vs Wolves - 01/14/19 - English Premier League Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

In the English Premier League, Manchester City are set to host Wolves at the Etihad Stadium.

In their last Premier League match, Manchester City reignited their Premier League title battle as they beat Liverpool at home. It was a close game where both teams maintained half of the ball but Manchester City had the added quality around the goal. Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane were both exceptional as both strikers scored goals. In addition to the strikers, Manchester City also defender very well with the likes of Stones, Kompany and Danilo neutralized the Liverpool strikers well. In the entire match, Manchester City allowed Liverpool to have only 5 shots on goal. This is expected to be an easier match for Manchester City.

On the other side of the pitch, Wolves lost their last Premier League match as they were beaten by Crystal Palace. It was a disappointing performance by Wolves as they lost to a mid-table team at home.  The Wolverhampton strikers were especially disappointing as they managed only 1 shot on target in the entire match. Consistency has been the biggest issue for Wolves as they have beaten the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool but have lost games which they are expected to win. As far as this match is concerned, Wolves will need to be at their best to compete since their opponents look determined.

Manchester City and Wolves met earlier in the season in a match that ended as a draw. While the draw will give confidence to Wolves, this match will be much tougher since they are not going to be at home.

All in all, I am going to pick Manchester City to win this match. Manchester City have a much stronger team and I think they should get an easy win, especially at home.

Manchester City
