The Line: -- Over/Under:
Manchester City are set to play their next Premier League game at home at the Etihad Stadium where they will play against Wolves.
Manchester City played midweek in the Champions League as they beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 at home. It was a comfortable win for the Sky Blues as they controlled 81% of the possession and completed 818 passes at an accuracy of close to 90%. Manchester City had 20 shots and won the match with some ease. Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden were both very impressive as both players scored for Manchester City. It has been a strong few weeks for Manchester City but they still trail Liverpool by 5 points and that makes these matches against mid-table teams very important.
Looking at Wolves, the team won their previous outing 2-0 as they defeated Watford at home. While it was a win against a weak side, Wolves completed the processes well and got the right result. Wolves took the lead early in the game and managed to maintain the lead for the remainder of the contest. Despite the result, Wolves only had 39% of the ball when playing at home which is an area of concern for the team. This is expected to be a very tough match for Wolves as they are playing an elite team away from home.
Manchester City and Wolves last played each other in January. The match was played at the Etihad Stadium and it was won 3-0 by Manchester City. Gabriel Jesus scored 2 goals for Manchester City in that match.
Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Manchester City to win this match. Wolves have not had a good start to the season and I don’t see them having enough quality to compete against Manchester City away from home. Considering the attacking strength of Manchester City, the over 3.5 goals is a good wager.
