Game of the weekend in the English Premier League will see Manchester United host Arsenal at Old Trafford. Louis Van Gaals side recovered from a couple of bad results to come away from Crystal Palace with a win last weekend that has wrapped up Champions League football for next season after Liverpool lost on Saturday to Palace at home. With Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney looking set to miss the rest of the season through injury the chance will be given to either Falcao or Van Persie to lead the line. I expect the team to stay the same with Mata, Herrera and Fellaini playing key roles for the red devils as they now chase third place and an automatic place in the Champions League. to achieve this they need to beat Arsenal and hope that Arsenal win only one of their other two league games. Ashley Young has played himself into a new contract in my opinion and has been the best out and out winger in the league this season, young will fancy his chances of exploiting Arsenal's young full back on Sunday but it will be a terrific match up to keep an eye on.
Arsenal lost last weekend to Swansea although the Gunners dominated possession their finishing was not good enough and came up short when Swansea's Gomis smashed a header in the last ten minutes. Arsene Wenger will be without the injured Danny Wellbeck who was the game winner last time the two teams met in the FA Cup. Giroud, Sanchez, Cazorla and Ozil are the key components of Arsenals offence with Ramsey chipping in with goals from midfield Theo Walcott's return to the squad gives Wenger another pacey option on the wing. With a Cup final a couple of weeks away and Champions League football already guaranteed though I am not 100% convinced that Arsenal players will be fully focused here. There has to be at the back of their mind the thoughts of making sure they are fully fit for the cup final.
I'm taking both team to score here, I think this is a solid play and one that should pay off for us on Sunday. We have two very good attcking offences and defences that have been liable to struggle at times this season. I think this game could come down to whether Falcao or Van Persie has a good game for United. Falcao has looked sharper with each appearance in recent weeks, a couple of goals here would do his case to be signed permanently no harm at all. When fully recovered from that ACL injury Falcao should go back to being one of the best in the world.
