Manchester United will open the 2018/2019 English Premier League season at Old Trafford as they take on Leicester City. Both teams will be looking to start the season with a good result and that should mean we get some good football.
With Riyad Mahrez leaving for Manchester City during the summer, the Premier League winning side is now completely gone from the club. Having said that, the Foxes have made a huge profit from the sales and have invested the money well. The new players will aid the likes of Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel meaning that this could be a good season for the Foxes. This will not be the easiest start as they are playing Manchester United away but it will be a good chance for them to test their team.
On the other hand, Manchester United have already managed to get into a civil war situation. The manager and the board seem to be fighting and there are talks of Mourinho getting sacked before the first game of the season. This is not what the Red Devils would have wanted and it will be interesting to see how it impacts the team during this game. This side is stacked with exceptional players such as Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku which has let to there being huge hopes surrounding the club so it will be important that the side starts with a win.
All in all, I am going to predict that Manchester United will win this match. The Red Devils may be in a civil war but they are the better side and I think they will be good enough to beat Leicester City at home. The odds are not great for this wager but considering it is the opening match, I think it is the only betting option since it will be too risky betting on goals scored.
