One of the glamour friendlies of the weekend will see European Cup finalist Juventus travel to Marseille to take on the home team at the Stade Velodrome. Marseille have a very young side and Manager Bielsa will be looking to give his team some experience against quality opposition like Juve. Marseille will look to the experience of former Arsenal midfielder Diaby and former Real Madrid midfielder Diarra. In theory this tandem, if they can stay fit , could be one of the best midfield partnerships in the league and it will be interesting to see how Marseille's gamble works out. Batshuayi and Thuavin up front will be energetic and could cause problems for a Juventus side that have conceded a few goals in the pre season thus far.
Juventus manager Allegri is basically rebuilding the side that got to the Champions League final as Pirlo, Tevez, Vidal have all moved on and were the heartbeat of this side last season. With Zaza, Kheidera , Dybala coming in though there is quality to replace that trio the question is can they do as good a job. There is no doubt that Tevez will be the biggest loss in terms of his ability to score goals and Dybala and Zaza will be under immense pressure immediately. Allegri has to get the right balance to his side and we can see that Juventus will probably be testing the formations again this weekend.
This is a tough game for Marseille as there is so much talent in the Juventus side but I think Marseille will give them a game. I am going to take both teams to score in what should be an entertaining game of ball and one that I personally will be looking forward to. I am excited about this new look Juve side and will be tuning in to have a look at how this forward line gels.
