Action from Serie A on Saturday night comes from the San Siro where Milan take on Atalanta. Milan have won three in a row and are in danger of becoming a good team if they continue to play this impressive football, last week's win against Lazio was the first of substance under Mihjalovich against a top team. Bacca is going to be a fulcrum for this Milan side with Bonaventura and Cerci acting as creative midfielders behind the former Sevilla striker. Milan are definitely looking better in recent weeks and if their improvement continues and they can incorporate Luiz Adriano, Honda and Balotelli along with the currently injured Jeremy Menez then Milan fans could have reason to believe that this uptiurn in form could lead to a credible run at a wide open Serie A title.
On Saturday Atalanta will travel to the San Siro looking for their first points from an away fixture in over two months. Atlanta have lost their last three away games, two of which they had a player sent off. Goals have been a major struggle for Atalanta on the road scoring just three but conceding eleven in five away games. While Gomez and Pinilla will provide a threat for Atalanta they face a team that is undergoing major changes defensively under Mijhalovich.
Milan are a little short here for my liking but I do believe in Mijhalovich and I think that Milan made the right decision in appointing him. For this reason I am going to take Milan here to get the win but given the odds I prefer to take Milan to lead at half time in terms of value. Milan should have enough there to get an early lead and hold onto it. Take Milan to lead at half time at better than evens.
