The MLS continues midweek as Minnesota United will be in action. This will be at home at the TCF Bank Stadium as they take on the New England Revolution in a very important game. Both teams are desperately in need of some points so it will be interesting to see how the game occurs.
Minnesota United played against Real Salt Lake over the weekend at home in a game which was high scoring but ended with the home side getting the victory. Minnesota United would have been happy with the win and will be desperate to ensure that they can keep the momentum going into this game. As it currently stands, Minnesota United are 9th on the Western Conference but with only 9 points between 4th spot and 9th spot, there are lots to play for. Winning at home is important in the MLS and I am sure Minnesota United will be desperate to ensure they can get three points from this game.
On the other side of the coin, the New England Revolution are desperate for some points. The away side have only managed one point from their last two games and that is not acceptable at this stage of the season. At the moment, the Revolution are 5th on the Eastern Conference but with games in hand, they will fancy themselves of making the top 4 very soon. This is a game that New England should win since they have a better side. The only issue is that this is an away game and playing at Minnesota is never easy. If the Revolution can adjust to the travel quickly, they should win this game.
While both teams will feel that they can win this game, I am going to predict that neither will. I think we are going to get a draw. New England is the better side but at home, I think Minnesota United will be good enough to get a point. We are getting a good price betting on the draw so that is the wager which I am going to suggest we make.
