FC Dallas and the Houston Dynamo square off Friday night at the Toyota Stadium.

The Houston Dynamo have won just three of their last six matches and could use a win to get back in the Western Conference race. The Dynamo relies on a defense that’s allowed 21 goals in 16 games and one or less goals in 12 matches. Tyler Deric, however, has allowed four goals in his last two starts. Offensively is where the Dynamo could really improve, as they have just 51 shots on target and have scored one or less goals in 11 games. Will Bruin leads Houston with seven goals, Brad Davis has four assists and Giles Barnes has 46 shot attempts. The Houston Dynamo haven’t won a road game in over a month and will need to get their offense going if they’re going to end such a streak. Davis is questionable with a knee injury.

FC Dallas is holding onto that last playoff spot despite losing three of its last five matches. FC Dallas hasn’t won a match in six straight games and it starts with an offense that’s produced just two goals during that span. Fabian Castillo and Blas Perez have combined for 10 goals, Mauro Diaz has four assists and Tesho Akindele has 15 shot attempts. Defensively, FC Dallas has allowed 23 goals in 16 matches and two or more goals in six of those games. Dan Kennedy has allowed four goals in his last three starts. FC Dallas hasn’t lost a home game since April 10th and would love to keep that streak going considering their last few matches haven’t been great. Matt Hedges is questionable with a hamstring injury.

FC Dallas is probably going to win this match, as it’s a team that’s proven to be much better on its home field.

However, from a betting standpoint, I think the value here is on the under. Both teams have struggled finding the back of the net at times and I see that continuing here.
