The game of the weekend in Ligue 1 will see Monaco host Paris Saint Germaine on Sunday night. Monaco come into this game off the back of a terrific performance in London where they beat Arsenal 3-1 in the Champions League. Led by the experienced Berbatov and Mouthino Monaco have turned things around domestically after a poor start to the season. With both Marseille and Lyon losing on Saturday a win here for Monaco could bring them within eight points of the top of the table. A good mix of youth and experience within this squad has seen the likes of Martial come through to be a rousing success this season and Monaco will have no fear coming up against a PSG team that will be without their talisman Ibrahimovich.
PSG come into this game without the suspended Ibrahimovich and will be looking for a win that will take them top of Ligue 1. Cavani and Lavezzi will lead the line for the Champions in a tough game against the best defence in the league. PSG have been so inconsistant this season that it's hard to have much faith in them in this position as a road favourite against a good team. Laurent Blanc's side have loads of talent and there is no doubt that they could on any given day beat anyone but Monaco are a really solid defence and have the players through the middle to cause problems for PSG at the back.
I'm going to take the draw here. Monaco on the handicap is actually my favourite bet of the day but the odds are a little prohibitive so rather than eat the vig a straight up bet on the draw seems the right play here. Ligue 1 is heating up and these two are going to be involved at the business end of the season both might just settle for a point here in the biggest game of the weekend.
