Montenegro vs. England - 3/25/19 Euro Cup Qualifier Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Montenegro is hosting England in round 2 of Euro Cup qualification.

Montenegro has a viable team who is ranked 46th in FIFA standings and their best player is Adam Marusic who is playing for Lazio in Serie A. Montenegro have won only 2 games out of the last 11 games and in their last game against Bulgaria in round 1 of these qualification have played 1-1 in a game where Montenegro was defending for most of the game and have had only 38% ball possession, 4 shots on goal and only 70% of correct passes. Montenegro is not a team that will have control over the middle of the field and will create a lot of chances but are capable of scoring a goal because they have really fast counter attacks. Montenegro will be fighting for second place in their group with Bulgaria, Kosovo and Czech Republic but I really don’t see them getting there because both Bulgaria and Czech Republic are better teams.

England is another offensive firepower in Europe who is playing on a very high level at the moment and have destroyed Czech Republic in round 1 of these qualifications. I was expecting England’s dominance in this match but by this much. With 66% ball possession, 8 shots on goal and 87% of correct passes in what turned out to be very fun and exciting match Raheem Sterling scored his first hat trick for England’s national team. Ever since Gareth Southgate was signed as coach back in November of 2016 England’s game has improved to a whole new level and their confidence and winning mentality are just rising. Both staff and players are aware that this team with stars like Dele Ali, Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling can accomplish a lot and fans are feeling it to and support they give to their team is just amazing.

England is by far better team here and are playing impressive soccer right now and because of that I see them winning this match with a few goals to spare.

England -1.5

Being from Croatia I was raised with soccer all around me and I loved to watch and play soccer ever since i was little kid, especially after Croatia won third place in 1998 World Cup in France. I watch and follow soccer on a daily basis and to get the oppurtunity to write about it is amazing.
