Montreal Impact vs DC United - 8/4/18 MLS Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Montreal Impact will be at home this weekend as the Canadian side plays host to DC United. Both teams are in the Eastern Conference and are at similar levels in terms of quality. This should ensure that we have a contest that is going to be very evenly matched. I am expecting lots of determination in this game since interconference games have greater value to the teams in relation to standings.

DC United have looked a far improved side since the arrival of English superstar, Wayne Rooney. The former Manchester United superstar has lifted all the players and the side is looking refreshed and exciting. As it currently stands, DC United are bottom of the Eastern Conference standings but the team has almost 3 games in hand and if they continue playing well, they will soon find themselves midtable. It will be important for DC United to get results since Wayne Rooney was a very expensive signing and the team will be determined to get paid back in wins.

On the other side of the coin, the Montreal Impact will want to win at home. The Impact are much stronger at home than away so it will be important that they can maximize their home game points. It has been a tough few weeks for the Montreal Impact as they have struggled to get points but they will be confident that they can turn things around at home against a side of similar quality.

This should be a very close game but I am going to pick the Montreal Impact to win. The Impact are very strong at home and I don’t think DC United will be good enough to get a point away from home in Canada. Expect this to be a low scoring game since Montreal have a very good defensive unit. We are getting a decent enough price to wager on the Montreal Impact winning so that is the bet which I am going to suggest we make.
