Netherlands vs. Belarus - 3/21/19 Soccer Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Netherlands is welcoming Belarus in round 1 of Euro Cup qualifications.

After missing out on last years World Cup in Russia, Netherlands have decided to make a complete remake of their national team and they started with their coach Dick Advocaat and signed Ronald Koeman, one of the best players in Netherlands history. Once signed, Koeman decided to get rid of some older players like Robben and Janssen and decided to give more chances to young stars like Bergwijn, De Jong, Van de Beek and De Ligt in combination with Liverpool leader Van Dijk and Wijnaldum. These changes were just what this team needed and Netherlands once again started to play some of the best soccer in Europe. In UEFA Nations league, Netherlands was in a group with France and Germany and ended up winning this group with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss and with 8 scored goals. In their last home game against France, Netherlands had 64% possession, 11 shots on goal, 8 corner kicks and ended up winning this game 2-0 leaving World Champions without any chance of victory. Netherlands is finally playing soccer that we all love to watch with plenty of nice plays and shots and more importantly goals.

Belarus is not a bad team and are able to make everyone’s lives hard if given the opportunity and were playing some great soccer but those were opponents like San Marino, Moldova and Luksemburg who were their opponents in Nations League. Belarus won that group easily with 4 wins, 2 draws and 0 losses and goal differential of 10-0. Belarus team is led by their legend, 37 years old Alexander Hleb who used to play for Arsenal and Barcelona and mostly because of him this team is playing well. Belarus top goal scorer is Stanislav Dragun who scored 5 goals in 8 games he played while Saroka added 3 goals. Belarus is in group with Estonia, Northern Ireland, Germany and Netherlands and because only 2 top teams will qualify to Euro Cup I’m not giving them much chance next to much better teams like Netherlands and Germany.

Belarus hasn’t had a lot of luck against Netherlands and have won only 2 matches back in 2007 and 1995 and because this Netherlands team has a lot of potential and are playing great soccer I think Belarus doesn’t stand a chance.

Netherlands -2.5

Being from Croatia I was raised with soccer all around me and I loved to watch and play soccer ever since i was little kid, especially after Croatia won third place in 1998 World Cup in France. I watch and follow soccer on a daily basis and to get the oppurtunity to write about it is amazing.
