One of the fixtures of the day in the International friendlies will be the Netherlands taking on Italy in the Amsterdam Arena. The Netherlands were terrible at the weekend one of my picks that I absolutely thought was a nailed on certainty was the Netherlands to beat Turkey but I both over estimated how good the Netherlands were and underestimated how much they would miss Robben and Van Persie. The Netherlands have quality throughout the team but at the moment seem to be really struggling to put it all together. Wesley Sneijder was the best player on the park for the Netherlands against Turkey but he was still below his own high standards, Huntelaar was anonymous until his nintieth minute deflection on Sneijder's shot that resulted in the goal. Gus Hiddink must get his team focused and winning or he will be out of a job and they will be out of the Euro2016 championship.
Spain keep winning, the play rather poorly and struggle to finish games off but winning is winning. Spain are doing the opposite of what the Netherlands are doing. Spain have a terrific squad with Arsenal's Cazorla, Juventus Morata and Manchester City's David Silva all finding themselves key players for Del Bosque's team who are looking to bounce back from a terrible World Cup. Spain were hammered 5-1 by the Netherlands in the World Cup so there will be an element of revenge on the minds of these Spanish players and that could be bad news for the Netherlands.
This one is so hard call, I think the Netherlands will up their game here against the team that beat them in the 2010 world Cup final but I also think the spanish will be looking to settle the score from the 5-1 defeat they suffered to the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup. I am going to take both teams to score here. I think the draw is also probably value but I wouldnt go too heavy there.
