The New England Revolution and DC United meet Saturday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.

The New England Revolution look to build on their season opener draw against the Houston Dynamo. In the draw, New England got six of its 13 shots on target and showed fight throughout the match after being down a goal twice. The Revolution have to be a confident bunch heading into their home opener. Diego Fagundez leads New England with one goal, Charlie Davies has three shots and Teal Bunbury has two shots. Defensively, Bobby Shuttleworth has come away with two saves on five shots faced. The New England Revolution have come away with points in six of their last seven regular season home games.

The DC United hope to bounce back after getting beat up 4-1 to the LA Galaxy. After getting off to a quick 1-0 lead, the DC United allowed four unanswered goals and found the net just once despite getting off 16 shot attempts. DC United has to play better if this season will be a success. Lamar Neagle leads DC with one goal, Nick DeLeon has five shots and Fabián Espíndola has two shots. Defensively, Andrew Dykstra has come away with three saves on seven shots faced. The DC United have lost their last three regular season road games.

DC United has beaten the New England Revolution in three of the last five meetings, including the last two. New England's only victory over DC United during that time frame came in May of 2014. Three of the last four meetings between these two teams has produced three goals.

Despite the history between these two teams, you have to like the fact the Revolution showed great fight in their season opener. You also can't be thrilled with the way DC United played. Overall, New England is solid at home. I'll take the Revolution in a victory.
