In the English Premier League, Manchester United will travel to St James’ Park where they will play against Newcastle United.

It has been a terrible start to the season for Manchester United and that was showcased midweek as they failed to win in the Europa League. The Red Devils only managed a 0-0 draw against AZ Alkmaar which was an embarrassing result for the club. It was a horrible performance by Manchester United as they had no shots on target in the entire match. As it currently stands, Manchester United are 10th on the Premier League ladder and there is lots of pressure on the club as the fans are getting angry.

Looking at Newcastle United, the Magpies have been struggling as they are currently 19th on the ladder with 5 points from their 7 games. In their last outing, Newcastle United were humiliated by Leicester City as they lost 5-0. It was a disgraceful performance by the Magpies as they had only 31% of the ball and no shots on target. To make matters worse, Isaac Hayden was sent off meaning that he will not be available for this match. Things are looking very poor at Newcastle United and the club look set to be in a relegation battle this season. It is hard to see Newcastle United turning things around for this match.

The last time that Manchester United and Newcastle United played each other was in January. The match was played at St James’ Park with the Red Devils winning 2-0.

Both Manchester United and Newcastle United have been very poor this season. Neither side has managed to get any momentum and both clubs look in turmoil. That being said, I am going to pick Manchester United to win this match. The Red Devils are the stronger team and they should have enough quality players to defeat a very poor Newcastle outfit.

Aviijoy’s Pick Manchester United

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
