As the International Champions Cup continues it's tour of North America Chelsea will take on PSG at the Bank Of America stadium in Charlotte. Chelsea come into this game off the back off a 4-2 defeat to the New York Red bulls. Chelsea actually took the lead through Loic Remy but struggled in the midfield and were over run by the American side. With Jose Mourhino also making wholesale changes at half time there was no continuity in the second half and the Blues struggled. Chelsea have a fabulous squad and the Premier League champions will be looking to repeat this year and go further in the Champions League. Fabregas, Hazard, Costa will be key to Mourhino's side's chances in Europe and it will be interesting to see how the club plays against a PSG side that knocked them out of the Champions League last season.
PSG come into this game without a couple of their south american stars who are on extended leave following the Copa America. Led by Zlatan Ibrahimovich and with a team of young stars, Laurent Blanc is at the head of a PSG team that is aiming at conqueriing Europe. Ibra is key to that goal but the Swedish striker is being linked with a move away from Parc Des Princes. Augustin the young French striker , only eighteen years of age has netted five goals in three games in the pre season and is making a serious stake for a place in the starting eleven. The ICC has had some good games thus far and I think this is another one that should be a really good entertaining game of football.
I'm taking the overs in this game, I like both offences here and I think we will see some goals here along with some terrific attacking play. For those looking for a play on the sides, PSG look too big here for me and in a game that should be a coinflip I would be taking the under dogs.
