Newcastle United travel to London to take on QPR with the R's already relegated and Newcastle needing a win as the Magpies desperately try to avoid relegation. John Carver's side have lost eight of their last nine with their only point coming last time out against West Brom. Newcastle though have welcomed back top scorere and biggest goal threat Papa Cisse. With Ayoze playing excellently and a rare bright spot this season Newcastle have some attacking talent that should cause problems for a QPR team that were hammered 6-0 last week by Manchester City.
QPR were relegated last week and really they have had a terrible season. The lone excpetion of Charlie Austin and possibly goalkeeper Rob Green have been the only plus points for QPR all season. Having lost manager Harry Redknapp mid way through the season QPR opted not to bring in a big money manager and stuck with Chris Ramsay who to be fair had a mountain to climb and very little resources with which to climb it. QPR;s first half of the season had an impressive home record but since the fifteenth of January QPR have lost seven home games in a row and drawn last time out against West Ham. It wouldnt surprise me though with the pressure off if QPR put in a big performacne tomorrow that may leave Newcastle precariously close to the relegation places.
Strange game here but given how poor both teams have been this season it is no wonder both are at the bottom of the table and struggling, QPR though may play with a little more freedom and all the pressure is on Newcastle. I think that this is one of those games where anything could happen and in that situation I like to be on the side of the home dog. Taking QPR to get a win here on a small play.
