Championship action on Thursday night will see QPR travel to Reading with both teams needing a win to move back into playoff contention. Steve Clarke's Reading have had a decent start to the season and a win here will take Reading into the playoff positions and only eight points off top. While Reading have lost two of their last three games, both have been away from home and Reading have actually only lost one game at home all season. Reading have a solid team backed by experienced Premier League players such as Paul McShane, Anton Ferdinand and Robson Kanu. Alongside quality Championship veterans such as Vydra and with youth sprinkled throughout in the form of John, Norwood. THe key man for Reading this season though has been Blackman who has nine goals in eighteen games but after scoring six in a row he hasnt scored in seven games now but I think Reading and Blackman will come good in the coming busy period.
QPR have made some changes of late with Neil Warnock coming in as an interim manager but the R's are still struggling. Having lost three of their last five QPR finally got a win last weekend when beating Leeds United 1-0. QPR have a solid team with Charlie Austin among the best strikers in the league and a squad still filled with Premier League players. With Mackie, Hoilett, Henry, Emmanuel Thomas there is class among this team but it's going to be a tough ask to beat Reading here who themselves are a very solid team and are very difficult to beat in the Madjeski Stadium.
Great match up here for us on Thursday night and this one should be a really entertaining game. Going to take both teams to score here with two of the best strikers in the Championship in either side, this should be a great game to watch.
