Real Madrid are set to play against Arsenal in the International Champions Cup.

Real Madrid were beaten in their previous preseason match as they lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich. It was a poor outing for Real Madrid as they only had 45% of the possession and completed 121 fewer passes than their opponents. The result will be concerning for Real Madrid since key players like Eden Hazard, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Isco were all playing. Raphaël Varane and Sergio Ramos were the central defenders for Real Madrid with both players looking very poor as they allowed Bayern Munich to score 3 times.

It is fair to assume that Real Madrid were rusty considering it was their first preseason match. With a game under the belt, Real Madrid will hope for a better result against Arsenal in this match.

Looking at Arsenal, the Gunners defeated Fiorentina 3-0 in their previous ICC match. Eddie Nketiah was the star performer for Arsenal as he scored 2 goals for the team. Joe Willock also scored for Arsenal in the game. During the win, Arsenal controlled 59% of the ball and completed close to 550 passes. Arsenal had 5 shots on target during the win. Arsenal played a relatively weak side against Fiorentina but the squad players showed great skill to perform extremely well. It is expected that some of the main players will play in this match which should only make Arsenal a stronger team in this match.

This match between Arsenal and Real Madrid is set to be played at the FedExField in Washington DC.

Real Madrid have not started their preseason well and the team seems to lack chemistry. There are many new players at Real Madrid and the team has not found a system where they can all play together. In comparison, Arsenal seem to have found some decent preseason form as the Gunners have already beaten both Bayern Munich and Fiorentina. Arsenal look better prepared for this match and I see them winning this fixture.
