El Classico, the first of the season live from the Bernabeu will see a Barcelona team that will probably be without Lionel Messi take on a Real Madrid team that just suffered their first loss of the season. Barcelona will look to Neymar and Suarez in the absence of the brilliant Argentina, who still may make an appearance, but is struggling to be 100%. Neymar and Suarez have been on fire this season scoring eleven and nine goals respectively in ten games. The duo make a lethal combination and if Messi is also fit this trio are going to be almost unstoppable this season, just as they were last season. Barcelona though have some key injuries with Messi, Rakitic and Rafinha all questionable at best.
With Real Madrid at full strength Rafa Benitez will be looking to guide his side to it's first El Classico victory under his stewardship. Benitez always managed to get his teams to lift their game in the big matches whether it be at Liverpool, Valencia or Napoli and I think he will again use that strong man management style to ensure his Real Madrid team are focused here. Cristiano Ronaldo , James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale will form Real's own fearsome threesome and they are frightening to play against with that pace and ability. This is without doubt the biggest game across Europe this weekend and should be an absolute cracker with a fantastic atmosphere.
I'm going to take Real Madrid to get the win though. At this price at home with Lionel Messi possibly missing, I just cant pass that up. Real Madrid will be looking for the three points that will take them back to the top of La Liga and I expect them to get the win. Ronaldo loves scoring against Barcelona and surely will look to pick up his season here with a good performance against his arch rivals.
