Real Madrid is hosting Barcelona in round 26 of Spanish LaLiga on Saturday.
Real Madrid is in huge slump right now and are struggling on both ends. Real Madrid has already played a match against Barcelona this past Wednesday in second leg of Copa del Rey semifinals and lost 0:3. Offensively, Real has created a lot of chances and with 2 shots on goal but haven’t been able to score a goal and that is what cost them in the end. In the second half Barcelona has scored 3 goals in a span of 23 minutes and there was nothing Real Madrid’s defense could have done. Benzema leads Real Madrid with 11 goals and is expected to lead Real Madrid’s attack once again in this match. Llorente is injured, Varane is listed as questionable while Nacho is suspended because of a red card. Varane is Real’s starting defenseman alongside Ramos, while Nacho is first backup and with both of them gone this is going to be tough game for Real Madrid. In the standings, Real Madrid is holding 3rdplace with 48 points and are 9 points behind Barcelona on the top. Coach Solari didn’t has a lot of time to fix all mistakes in just 3 days and fans were not happy after losing this game against Barcelona but Real Madrid is just not playing at the level they should to compete with Barcelona.
Barcelona is playing in great form and more importantly their main striker Suarez finally started scoring and that is bad news for Real Madrid. This mid-week Copa del Rey game was one of the rare ones where Messi didn’t score or assisted and because of that I’m sure he is eager to score in this one and that’s more bad news for Real Madrid. The only part of the game in Copa del Rey that Barcelona was better then Real is ball possession which they controlled with 52% and that was enough for another victory. Lionel Messi leads Barcelona with amazing 25 goals and 11 assists in 23 games fallowed by Suarez who scored 16. Barcelona’s away record 8 wins, 3 draws and only 1 loss and are on a streak of 5 away games without a loss. Rafinha is only injured player in Barcelona squad which means we can expect their top defensive line with Umtiti and Pique.
Barcelona is in much better form and are playing way better soccer at the moment and because of that I’m expecting them to put a final nail in Real Madrid coffin and probably get coach Solari fired because looing from Barcelona twice in 3 days will be unforgivable in Madrid.
