Real Madrid finish off theis Champions League group phase with a home tie against Malmo. In the first game of the group against Malmo Madrid struggled to a 2-0 victory with star man Cristiano Ronaldo netting both goals. This was a tough game for Madrid but one would expect a much easier game in Madrid. The return of Karim Benzema from injury was a spark for Madrid at the weekend as the frenchman netted two and was excellent in a 4-1 victory over Getafe. Ronaldo had two assists and a goal as he continue s his remarkable scoring record with Madrid. With seven goals in five games Ronaldo is top scorer across Europe in the champions league and will be looking to add to his tally here.
Malmo have suffered heavy defeats in their last two games losing four nil and five nil in their last two. With their season over Malmo really struggle to get competitive games in and are at a disadvantage here in the Champions League. Durdic, Berget and Rosenberg will take the game to Madrid but I think they are going to be getting very little supply here. Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez was under pressure after his side were hammered by Barcelona and I think he along with the players will be looking for some respite from the media criticism with a win here.
Hard to find much value but Real Madrid to score 2 or more first half goals is 10/11 and I will be taking that. Real Madrid will look to get ahead early and not have this game become a nervy affair. Malmo will of course try to keep things tight but they play against a very strong side here and I cant see them staying in this one.
